Gobble Gobble

I sound like a turkey. According to a preschooler, I don’t sound like a man, I sound like a turkey.  A preschoolers words, not mine. Because I don't have any. No voice=no words.

I was sick last week. Working in a daycare, I have a  bi-weekly rotation of sicknesses. I’m better, but now my voice is gone.

Wanna know what I made for dinner tonight? Garlic basil shrimp, with a asian salad. We had this last night and it was so good. And when I say so good I mean it was as if Thailand had a fourth of July, in my mouth.

----

Wanna know something cute? A two year old singing “I love to see the Temple.”

I melted, right there and then. This was the same one who blessed his lunch, and timed his prayer to end right as I handed him his plate. Adorbs.

Something new

I am going to start a weekly pin post.

If you look to the left, you’ll see my “Follow my Pins” Badge right above the awesome Inception quote. You have to say that as if I’m a tour guide.

Pinterest is an online catalogue of any picture you’d find on the internet. People “Pin” what they think is interesting, and other people can see that and “Re Pin” it. You can also follow people, and see the most popular pins, and what people are saying about them. It’s like Twitter and Photobucket put together, just a lot cooler.

It’s genius. It’s like a virtual pin board to keep track of all my ideas, about everything. I made my own categories, along with the ones that are preset.

I’ll post a quote, an animal, some type of clothing, and something awesome.

I hope what little followers I have will enjoy my Pinterest posts, as much as I enjoy pinning them.

Have you seen the digital short for snl called “Andy and Pee Wee’s night out”?

HIGH-larious.

Fun fact- My husband loved Pee Wee as a child, he laughed so hard while watching this video…and at that picture.

Oh another fact, but no surprise (and not fun) I’m sick. It’s a cold, and not as bad as that past ones but a cold nonetheless. Boo.

Worst november ever.

Since Halloween I have:

-Had a cold, with congestion that felt like my face was cracking in half
-a Headache...for an entire weekend
-The stomach flu
-I went to the emergency room for abdominal pain
-another Cold, with more painful congestion
-and an Earache, which I have right now.

What's the kicker you ask?

I don't have health insurance.

I'm on a vitamin cocktail that would make your gramma's look like mini bag of skittles.

I was sick on Halloween AND Thanksgiving. If I'm sick on Christmas, Santa's getting coal. But I wouldn't be surprised if I am, considering I'm like sticky fly tape for illnesses.

I'll just cry and drink my emergenC.

Either way, what I have learned is that my husband, is my hunky super hero. I love him for going to wal mart right before they close to get me any medicine he thinks will help...(even though he comes home with more fishies) I love him for not laughing at me because I'm afraid to throw up. I love him for making the decision to finally go to the emergency room when I refuse over and over again because I'm a baby. I love him for giving me blessings, praying for my health, and overall being the best lounge all day in pajamas buddy.

oh and watching princess and the frog with me that one time.

and for the fact I probably made two meals last month*

and one of them was waffles.

three days ago. dangit, that was in december.
okay, one meal. It was Novemeber 30th, actually.

I don't know why I am getting sick over and over again, we still don't know. But what I do know is, I am so grateful I have Brad. He's a hunk.

And we come home in 18 days!!!!

*Linda, I promise I have been feeding brad (with the exception of this month) when you see him in 18 days, you'll probably think he's been starving from all the weight he's lost. But I promise it's not all my fault! Sandwiches and cereal don't like to stick to his bones.

-NOT A SPOILER ALERT-
By the way, I finished the Hunger Games trilogy. I nearly cried because it's over! I love the story, the characters and yes, I am the HG equivalent of a twi-hard. They need to come up with a name for those addicted to the series. The catch phrase could be, "Are you hungry?" I don't know, it needs work. haha. Anyway, I don't know what I was expecting. Mockingjay was very bittersweet. It ended the way it should have, and Suzanne Collins did a beautiful job. Buuuut, I'm a very emotional person and I need deets. Details people! I would have loved to have read about gale and katnisses relationship and peeta and katnisses relationship in the epilouge, and how they got to that point (or lack of, without giving anything away.) Any many other things that I rant to Brad about until he gets annoyed. He read them also, and we feel the same way about some things. Regardless, I loved them. Love, love, love. that translates into, obsessed, obsessed, obsessed. Can't WAIT for the movies!

Bragging and my hero

My sisters family pictures, so pretty!

And Lydia is just a walking, talking, cheese ball- I can just imagine what's going on in these pictures.

I love how animated she is! and they are having another in April, just a boy version!

I can't wait to see steph, levi, and booger and the rest of my family this Christmas!

ps- I cut my sisters hair, fyi

pps- this has been then month of sickness. I've had the cold, with the worst congestion(it felt like my face was cracking in half) and last weekend I had a migraine for three days, and now I have the flu! my poor husband, he's so good at taking care of me. and since my inner child comes out when I'm sick, it's not an easy task. He got me anti-nausea medicine, pink pepto chewables, chicken noodle soup, popsicles, ginger ale and two new fishies for our fish tank (pictures to come.) Except those weren't for me, that's just what happens when he goes to wal mart by himself. My mother says he deserves a purple heart. Which he does, considering he listening to me sob like a baby for three hours* because I didn't want to throw up. *not my shining moment.

and now my hero is sick too, just not with the flu, thankfully. He has a sore throat, he said "it feels like gravel." Now it's my turn to take care of him, now that I'm not puking.

I just love him to pieces.

halloweenie :[

It's Halloween!
..and I'm sick as a dog :[

Last week was my first full week as a teacher with my class! It was fun and exhausting. Hence, why I am sick. I've been drinking two emergenC's a day and I've washed my hands so much that my knuckles started bleeding, and I still got sick! Did I mention Zicam is my new bff? Bradley is so good at taking care of me, even though he is starting to get sick too. Yesterday, He let me watch Princess and the Frog, and the Love Guru. He made me hot honey/lemon/emergenC tea and ran to wal mart to get medicine. So I've been taking claritin d, sucking on ricola, and putting similisan ear drops in my ears constantly....the itchy ears are the worst! He didn't even get mad at me for waking him up last night with my terrible coughing fits. He's the best :]

On Tuesday we had a few couples over to carve pumpkins! Chase and Ali, Brandon and his girlfriend Robyn, and Travis and his girlfriend Lindsay all squeezed into what we thought was our big kitchen and carved away. Here is our pumpkin:

And everyone's finished pumpkins!

Left to right
Chase and Ali's, Travis and Lindsay's, Brandon and Robyn's, and mine and Brad's

At work we had a Halloween carnival for the kids! Since I had two year olds we mostly just gave them the candy and treats since they didn't know how to do the games. I was dressed up as a crayon, and brad made my costume! He can do anything with duct tape, some of the teachers were pretty impressed :]

Fairies, Vampires and Devils were popular this year :]

My Parent's decided to stop in Rexburg on their way down to Texas! They are moving there for a year for my dad's new job. It was so good to see them and they brought along Maximus! I missed my little baby max so much! I have a picture of him on my dresser, but that's not as good as being able to cuddle with him. My Mom helped me make dinner for them, and my dad gave me a much needed adjustment. I was starting to get sick the night they came so we just stayed home that night and they left the next morning. It was a short trip but it will hold me over until Christmas :]

Brad's parents bought us plane tickets home! It's official! I am sooo thankful because I have been so homesick. My oldest brother and his wife, along with baby Vivienne moved to Spokane earlier this month so all the siblings are in Washington state except me :[ Tyler and Kortni will move here next year after they get hitched so that will be good to have them close. So my parents will be going back to Washington for Christmas also! I am so excited!

This week, I am just going to try and get better...and not get brad more sick. Tomorrow for family night, I am going to try and get things to make caramel apples. Think Mrs. Prindables...Oh yeah, that's what I'm going for.

Send us your healthy vibes!

P.S.- I just finished Catching Fire and I'm reading it again before I start Mockingjay!
